Project 01:
Spacial design:
Nature vs nuture

Within this project i aimed to express the idea of natural structures and how they can be imbeded within urban architexture.

I gained alot of insperation from other architects such as jean
renaudie and  walter marina. Both artists inspired me through
the use of geometric angles and allowing nature to grow around and through their structures, briging life colour and allowing
natural forms to continue to grow while also expressing a very brutalist and urban design. This creates a bolt contrasted
out come, letting nature surround and imbed within urban
architexture.

The prosses of making this model
also started with the inspiration of volcanic rock and the natural
shapes, textures and forms this rock can take on through arrosion
and decay  within a hot enviroment and the natural forms it can take on while cooling down and addapting to new enviroments.
The making stages began with a nuber of different types of experimentation, mainly within the material and
texture, and how different material could generate different effects and
surfaces.

overall i think i captured the idea of nature vs urban well although
with more time i would have liked to further develop this idea
and imbed it more deeply into nature and experiment with how naturl structure can define a peice of art or design, weather that be spacial, architxtural or a product.

Re-make & re-model

In this project I experimented and tested within multiple different fabrics and material, exploring the movement within different fabrics and forms they can take on and how I can make temporary or easily constructable complexes.
This idea was developed threw multiple inspiration from different temporary spaces and designs such as tent design used within camping and festivals like stretch tents and also was inspired threw the use of manipulation and movement within these designs .

I think I tackled the project remake and remodel well using stretching materials such as tights to reshape and create shelter and dynamic spacing with this method of building.

I also think with more time I could have refined my piece further testing out more unique and portable structures using the similar techniques, developing the scale and functionality of my space even further.
I would also plan deeper into the type of area my design is located (in this case the MET) and add additional features that match the creativity and wide range of skills within this school and how I can represent that through this structure.
the slide show presentes different perseptions and angles of the contemporary tent design and an example of the space it could fit in .Also some examples of test models and different minipulations found usinging this tequnique in a smaller scale with different material.

This was a side project where i was given a chair and where told to transform the apperance, structure,or function of the chair in a re design and re model side project. Me and my group desided to redevelop the apperance and function of the chair, using the idea of movment within a stationary object. As you can see we added old tires from a car to the bottom of the chair creating functional movment from scrap parts, re modeling and designing both the tyre and the chair in a recycable and unwaisful fasion, also considering the tacaling the problem of over waisted product within the modern world of design and creation.

Project 04:
Disobediant objects,
product design.

Disobediant Tiles

4.

In this project i was asked to create a disobedient object, product,or architextural design with disobediant features and an creating a abnormality in the functionalisty of my product. In my design i came up with the idea of creating a solid, fixed possition on the folds and creases of the natural movment and shaping of fabric such as carpits, bed sheets, paper and many more. I executed this idea by firstly experimenting with the shaping of these materials with everyday bojects such as chairs and experimented with the natural shaping of these materials. Then i shaped a small peice of cloth and covered it with plaster and let it dry and mold into the natural irregular shaping of the material, also giving a moveable visual apperance to a stuck and solid shape.

I really like how this project turned out and think i tackled this project disobedent product design very well. I would like to experiment in different material and create more shapes and experimentations on this design. I would also like to experiment laying these tiles into an enviroment i imagen them being in such as a bathroom or kitchen and see how it would effect and chsnge an enviroment inside a home.

In this design i aimed to capture the  momvent of waves within a mixed possition, made from a solid material that also could act as not only a sculpture but a seating arangment, serving the purpose of both creativity and practicallity. My making process was inspired from the time inbetween the occurance of waves in the ocean and the different shapes the water would make at each occasion. This design technique and building process also creates a very interesting effect, making the shapes flow into eachother much more smoothly and gives a simple but effective idea of the mench being made from waves. This building process is called parametric design. The main artist who inspired me to create this way was Zaha Hadid, who is known for creating seating arrangements with this process.
